Cool Industrial Loft

​This is an apartment of a young I.T. bachelor who would like to make it a comfortable work studio and a welcoming gathering space for friends at other time. The apartment is divided into two tone. The living area and one of the rooms have the style of a cool industrial loft while the inner rooms are turned into minimal calming Japanese style. Combining cool concrete look tiles and black stained cabinets with warming wood tone, living and dining room become a more comfortable, homey feeling space as a whole. We designed an open kitchen with a bar table to allow owners being able to interact with guests while cooking. Separating by the corridor, the inner rooms are designed in white and light wood tone. A mirror slide door, which separates the two, allows the owner to do yoga and meditate in the room. With a platform built in the bedroom, it creates the experience of stepping into to a resting space.
